Design Process

Initial meeting & Design Brief

Our initial free consultation is a chance to discuss the client’s ideas, requirements, inspirations, and project scope, including budget and timeline. During this session, we take the design brief and start shaping the concept. We also learn about the client’s personality, lifestyle, and tastes, helping us craft a project that truly reflects them. Serving clients in Italy, the UAE, and worldwide.

Concept Development & 2nd Meeting

Based on the design brief and in-depth research, the concept and design solutions are developed in the form of schematic sketches, including bubble diagrams and zoning plans, showing space utilization and adjacencies. Mood boards, concept boards, and a design statement are created to illustrate styles, colors, finishes, product selections, and overall design direction. The design proposal is presented to the client during this meeting, allowing discussion and feedback.

Space planning & Draft Layouts

Following feedback on the schematic sketches and with careful consideration of every square meter, efficient draft layouts are created to best accommodate the client’s needs. Circulation flow and the orientation of each space are taken into account. Multiple layout options are developed, illustrating different furniture arrangements, which are then reviewed and agreed upon with the client.

2D Technical / CAD Drawings

In response to the client’s feedback on the draft layouts, finalized functional plans are prepared. These include demolition and construction plans, site plans, floor plans, roof plans, reflected ceiling plans (RCP), elevations and sections (interior and exterior), as well as schedules for plumbing, furniture, finishes, and lighting.

3D visualization

Once the 2D drawings are finalized, detailed 3D visualizations of the complete project are created to showcase the overall look and feel. These visualizations are then reviewed, refined, and approved by the client.

Cost estimation & Time Frame

This stage includes estimating costs for materials, labor, and interior design services. At this point, project costs are indicative, as precise figures can only be obtained after submitting the finalized construction drawings to contractors, suppliers, and installers for their bids. A detailed project schedule is also prepared, including the proposed completion date.

FF&E Selection (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment)

We create a detailed catalogue of all items to be purchased. Once approved by the client, a comprehensive cost plan is prepared, outlining the cost of each item and the total cost of all items. To provide clients with the best value, all items are supplied with the benefit of interior designers’ discounts where available.

Implementation/Construction

Once all items have been purchased, we begin the implementation phase, which includes:

Demolition: Removal and disposal of existing furniture, walls, carpets, flooring, cabinets, tubs, lighting, and other elements as required.

Construction Process: Patching and repairing walls and ceilings, preparing floors for tiles, vinyl, or carpets, and prepping shower walls for tiles or tubs, among other construction works.

Installation: Installing all finishes and fixtures, including moldings, wall coverings, tiles, flooring, vanities, stone tops, sinks, faucets, tubs, showers, toilets, cabinets, shelving, and appliances.

We ensure every step is executed efficiently and to the highest standard

Project Management

The progress of the project is carefully managed and monitored through regular site visits to ensure all work is completed according to the design specifications. Any issues that arise during the course of the project are addressed promptly and pragmatically, maintaining quality and timelines.

Furniture Placement & Project Handover

Once construction and installation of all finishes and fixtures are complete, the space is thoroughly cleaned before the delivery and placement of furniture and accessories, including upholsteries, case goods, lighting, artworks, mirrors, mattresses and bedding, window treatments, and decorative items. This final step marks the handover of the project to the client—the most exciting moment for the client and the most fulfilling for the designers.
